Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Morwell. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for precise data entry, stock auditing, and reconciliation activities. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment. Please note that this role involves shift work to support our continuous operations and does not typically involve direct phone communication with external parties or customers related to inventory queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis.
- Maintain precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Prepare regular inventory reports and summaries for management.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to ensure efficient goods movement and storage.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing stock verification when required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Operate basic material handling equipment if certified (e.g., pallet jack).
Required Skills
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliability and punctuality for shift work.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an inventory control or warehouse environment (6-12 months preferred).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- Understanding of supply chain principles.
