Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Public Transport Cleaners to join our night shift team in Palmerston City. This essential role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our public transport fleet, including trains and buses, ensuring a pleasant and safe experience for daily commuters. You will be responsible for general cleaning duties, waste removal, and ensuring all vehicles meet our strict cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks on public transport vehicles (trains and buses) including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch areas such as handrails, seats, and windows.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Replenish supplies such as hand sanitizer and air fresheners as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards observed during cleaning.
- Work efficiently and independently to complete assigned cleaning routes within specified timelines.
