Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Infrastructure Asset Clerk to join our Public Sector Data team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the City of Greater Dandenong’s infrastructure assets. You will be responsible for data entry, verification, and management within our asset management systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of critical infrastructure information that supports planning, maintenance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of infrastructure asset information into relevant databases and systems.
- Verify existing asset data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Assist in the collection and collation of asset-related documents, drawings, and reports.
- Generate routine reports on asset inventory, condition, and maintenance activities.
- Support the Asset Management team with administrative tasks and project-related data requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to gather and provide asset information.
- Adhere to data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security.
- Assist in the preparation of asset audit documentation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry and administration roles.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of basic data management principles.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with asset management software (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, GIS systems).
- Experience working within a local government or public sector environment.
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.
