Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sustainable development, environmental protection, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You will contribute to a diverse range of projects, from environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance to waste management and climate change adaptation. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and site investigations.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans.
  • Ensure project compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable design solutions and climate resilience strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings and stakeholder consultations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental focus, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Familiarity with UK and/or international environmental legislation and standards.
  • Proficiency in environmental assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM, IEMA).
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Project management experience on environmental projects.
  • Knowledge of contaminated land assessment and remediation techniques.
