Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish lessons across key stages, inspiring students to develop a strong command of the language and an appreciation for Hispanic cultures. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of all students.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a stimulating and well-organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in Spanish or a related subject.
- Demonstrable expertise in teaching Spanish to secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching a second foreign language (e.g., French or German).
- Experience with various examination boards (e.g., AQA, Edexcel).
- A postgraduate qualification in education.
- Fluency in Spanish at a native or near-native level.
