Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Roofer’s Labourers to join our growing team in Hervey Bay. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals keen to start a career in the construction industry. No prior roofing experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training and all necessary safety equipment to ensure you learn and work safely. You will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled roofers, contributing to the efficient and safe completion of various roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers with the preparation and installation of roofing materials.
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tidying up debris and waste.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general labour duties as directed by the site supervisor or lead roofer.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a safety-first culture.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and take direction.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current 'White Card' (Construction Induction Card) – essential for working on construction sites in Australia.
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable transport.
- Previous experience in outdoor or manual labour roles.
- Basic First Aid certification.
