Job Description

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Tariff & Trade Classifier. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to learn tariff classification, trade compliance, and customs regulations.
- Assist senior classifiers in researching and assigning Harmonized System (HS) codes to various goods.
- Support the preparation and submission of import/export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Learn to interpret and apply government commerce policies and trade agreements.
- Utilize internal systems and external databases for tariff lookups and regulatory checks.
- Communicate with internal teams to gather necessary product information for classification purposes.
- Maintain organized records of classification decisions and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the trade compliance department.
