Job Description
Join Sunshine State Apiaries as a Seasonal Honey Harvester! This full-time, temporary position offers a unique opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to the production of premium local honey. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn the art of beekeeping and honey extraction. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided, and all necessary protective gear will be supplied. You will be an integral part of our harvest team, ensuring efficient and safe honey collection from our various apiary locations in and around St. Petersburg.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and efficient harvesting of honeycombs from bee colonies.
- Operate honey extraction equipment under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all harvesting tools and equipment.
- Transport honey frames and equipment between apiary sites and the processing facility.
- Follow all safety protocols and beekeeping best practices.
- Monitor bee health and report any unusual observations to the lead beekeeper.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Perform general apiary maintenance tasks as directed.

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in agricultural work or manual labor.
