Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Passport Office Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This pivotal role involves providing administrative support and customer service within a busy federal government environment, specifically handling passport applications and related inquiries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of sensitive information, adhering strictly to federal guidelines and privacy regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist applicants with inquiries regarding passport requirements, application status, and general information, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Handle sensitive personal information and documents with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
  • Manage appointment schedules and walk-in queues efficiently to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Operate office equipment such as computers, scanners, and printers for daily tasks.
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems in accordance with federal government protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex cases and ensure consistent service delivery.
