Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Conference Assistant to join our dynamic team in Tullamarine. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in event management and corporate hospitality. As a Conference Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various corporate events, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all attendees. A neat and professional appearance is essential as you will be the face of our events, greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of conference rooms and event spaces, including furniture arrangement, AV equipment checks, and material distribution.
- Greet and register attendees with a warm and professional demeanor, providing directions and information as required.
- Act as a primary point of contact for attendees during events, answering questions and resolving minor issues promptly and courteously.
- Support event coordinators with administrative tasks, including preparing name badges, compiling attendee lists, and managing inquiries.
- Ensure conference rooms and common areas remain tidy, well-stocked, and presentable throughout the event duration.
- Assist with catering setup and replenishment, ensuring a seamless food and beverage service.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues with AV equipment or escalate to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a professional and neat appearance at all times, reflecting the high standards of Elite Event Management Group.
- Provide general support to the event management team as needed to ensure the overall success of each event.
