Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Repossession Agency Dispatcher to join our Asset Recovery team for fast-paced night shifts in Chula Vista, CA. This critical role involves coordinating with field agents, clients, and internal teams to ensure the efficient and compliant recovery of assets. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and is adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This position requires a commitment to working overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of real-time repossession assignments during night shifts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for field agents, providing support, direction, and timely updates.
- Communicate effectively with clients (lending institutions) regarding status updates, issues, and successful recoveries.
- Accurately document all communications, actions, and outcomes in the company's dispatch and recovery systems.
- Monitor agent locations and progress using GPS and other tracking technologies.
- Handle urgent and unexpected situations with professionalism and quick problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to asset recovery and repossession.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline operations and resolve any logistical challenges.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dispatch role, high-volume call center, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS mapping tools, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shift hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive finance, asset recovery, or logistics industry.
- Familiarity with repossession laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of the Chula Vista and broader San Diego County geographical area.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a significant plus.
- High School Diploma or GED.
