Job Description

As a Business Recovery Coordinator – Finance, you will play a crucial role in assisting businesses facing financial challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include managing client communication, coordinating recovery plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining meticulous records. You will work closely with internal teams, legal advisors, and clients to facilitate effective and compassionate financial recovery strategies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage a portfolio of business recovery cases, ensuring timely progress and adherence to established protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients undergoing financial recovery, providing empathetic support and clear communication.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of tailored recovery plans in collaboration with financial advisors and legal teams.
  • Monitor and report on the status of recovery efforts, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions.
  • Ensure all recovery activities comply with ANZ Bank policies, industry regulations, and legal frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all client interactions, financial documentation, and recovery plan details.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for management on recovery portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including risk management, legal, and lending, to streamline recovery processes.
  • Stay informed about economic trends and legislative changes impacting business recovery and insolvency.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a finance, banking, or business support role, with exposure to client management or case coordination.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, business operations, and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • High level of empathy and discretion when dealing with sensitive client situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM or case management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in credit management, insolvency, or distressed asset management.
  • Knowledge of Australian financial regulations and compliance standards.
