Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and technically adept WFH Cloud Support Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, providing essential technical support for clients leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure platforms. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ cloud environments. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a passion for cloud technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service, all from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support to clients for AWS and Azure cloud services, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Respond promptly to incident tickets, service requests, and escalations related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and connectivity.
- Monitor cloud environments, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures to maintain optimal performance and availability.
- Assist clients with routine cloud operations, including resource provisioning, configuration management, and general maintenance tasks.
- Document solutions, procedures, and contribute to the internal knowledge base to improve support efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, development teams, and other stakeholders to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Stay current with the latest AWS and Azure services, features, and industry best practices through continuous learning and certification.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts and architectures.
- Familiarity with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with key Azure services including Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure VNet, and Azure Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and be self-motivated in a remote work environment.
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is highly beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate-level cloud certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals).
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a technical support, helpdesk, or IT operations role.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
