Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Mushroom Pickers. This is a full-time, year-round position working in our indoor, climate-controlled farm in Palmerston. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided to all successful candidates. You will be responsible for carefully picking and harvesting various types of mushrooms, ensuring quality and adherence to our strict hygiene standards. This role requires attention to detail, a steady hand, and the ability to work in a repetitive yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully harvest and pick mushrooms according to size, maturity, and quality standards.
- Sort and pack picked mushrooms into appropriate containers.
- Maintain a clean and organised picking area.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols strictly.
- Report any unusual growth patterns or quality issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to general farm tidiness and operations as needed.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety guidelines.
