Job Description
Grace Removals in Port Macquarie is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Removalist Helpers. This is an entry-level position with full paid training provided, making it perfect for those looking to start a career in logistics and removals. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, assisting with the careful packing, loading, and unloading of household and office goods, ensuring items are transported safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled removalists with packing, loading, and unloading furniture and other items.
- Carefully wrap and protect furniture and fragile items to prevent damage during transit.
- Safely lift and manoeuvre heavy objects, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients.
- Assist with truck setup, inventory checking, and tidying work sites.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends if required.
- Right to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., labourer, warehouse worker) is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of safe lifting practices.
- A current Australian driver's licence (Car or higher).
