Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Food Quality Auditor to join our manufacturing team in Dubbo. This role is crucial for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality and safety standards from raw materials to finished goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular audits, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily quality control checks and audits on production lines, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs (OPRPs).
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, BRC, and other relevant food safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform sensory evaluations and physical tests on products.
  • Investigate and report on quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities and audit findings.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality and food safety procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or food safety role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply food safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Experience with SQF, BRC, or ISO 22000 auditing.
  • Knowledge of Australian food regulations and industry best practices.
