Job Description
Are you looking for a dynamic role in a fun retail environment? Canadian Tire in Powell River is seeking a dedicated Toy Store Restocking Associate to join our evening shift team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who enjoy staying active, have an eye for organization, and want to contribute to creating an exciting shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring our toy department shelves are fully stocked, tidy, and ready for our customers, primarily during evening hours. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack incoming toy shipments.
- Efficiently restock shelves, ensuring products are placed accurately and neatly.
- Organize and maintain the backroom inventory area for toys.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Ensure all display areas are clean, tidy, and visually appealing.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and organized workflow.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality for evening shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment (an asset, but not required).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (an asset).
- A passion for toys and customer satisfaction.
