Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting summer opportunity with a clear path for skill development? Wyndham Resort Werribee Gardens is seeking enthusiastic Poolside Attendants for the upcoming season. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to gain experience in hospitality and customer service, with an added focus on preparing for future lifeguard certifications. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training in pool safety, guest interaction, and basic first aid.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with pool area needs, including towel distribution and seating.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool deck, changing rooms, and surrounding areas.
- Monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and adherence to pool rules.
- Set up and put away pool furniture and equipment daily.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
- Assist with basic first aid and emergency response as needed (training provided).
- Participate in lifeguard preparatory training sessions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all resort guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to lift up to 15 kg.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain with our support).
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality.
- Basic swimming proficiency.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
