Job Description
Join the dynamic team at Woolworths Group as a Casual Merchandiser! This role offers fantastic flexibility for individuals seeking day shifts and the opportunity to travel across various retail locations within the Fremantle area. As a Merchandiser, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are displayed attractively and are readily available for our customers. You’ll be responsible for stocking shelves, setting up promotional displays, and maintaining a tidy and organized sales floor. This position is perfect for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, enjoys an active role, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and successful in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently stock shelves, rotate products, and manage inventory within designated areas.
- Set up and maintain eye-catching promotional displays and signage according to planograms.
- Ensure products are clearly priced, ticketed, and accurately reflect current promotions.
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential out-of-stock items, and report as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the retail aisles.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with store staff and management.
- Travel between multiple store locations within the Fremantle region as required to fulfill merchandising duties.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for travel between sites).
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 15kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, products, and retail environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or stock handling is advantageous but not strictly required.
- Basic understanding of retail display techniques and product placement.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices or inventory management tools.
