Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Monitoring Dispatchers to join our Port Pirie team. This crucial role involves monitoring alarm systems, CCTV footage, and other security feeds, assessing situations quickly, and dispatching appropriate responses. You will be the first point of contact in critical situations, requiring a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make rapid, informed decisions. This is a licensed role, requiring a valid South Australian Security Agent’s License (Monitoring and/or Guarding). Night shifts are a core component of this position, playing a vital role in our 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor multiple security systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control platforms.
- Respond to and verify alarms, dispatching security personnel, emergency services, or other relevant responders as per established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident logs and reports.
- Communicate effectively with on-site security teams, clients, and emergency services.
- Utilize dispatch software and communication tools efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear and concise instructions during emergency situations.
- Conduct routine system checks and report any technical malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Valid South Australian Security Agent's License (Monitoring and/or Guarding endorsement).
- Proficiency in using computer systems and dispatch software.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality, particularly for night shifts.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security monitoring, dispatch, or emergency services role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local geography and emergency service protocols in the Port Pirie region.
- Experience with specific security monitoring platforms (e.g., Gallagher, Genetec, Avigilon).
