Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Post-Production Lead to join our creative team in Mount Barker. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of post-production for a diverse range of advertising campaigns, from initial concept to final delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of editors and motion graphics artists, ensuring the highest quality of output, adherence to brand guidelines, and timely project completion. You will be a hands-on leader, contributing creatively while managing workflows and mentoring team members to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of post-production specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee the entire post-production pipeline for video and motion graphics content, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality control for all deliverables, ensuring brand consistency and technical accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, and clients to understand project requirements and translate creative visions into compelling final products.
- Manage resource allocation, project scheduling, and budget adherence within the post-production department.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in post-production, implementing new techniques where beneficial.
- Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshoot issues related to editing, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics.
- Contribute hands-on editing and motion graphics work as required, particularly for complex or critical projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a post-production role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, colour spaces, and delivery specifications across various platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop creative talent.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with internal teams and clients.
- A keen eye for detail, strong aesthetic sense, and a passion for creating high-quality visual content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Experience working within a media agency or advertising environment.
- Familiarity with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D) is a plus.
- Proven ability to innovate and implement new post-production techniques and technologies.
