Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Monitoring Dispatchers to join our operations centre in Terrigal, NSW. This pivotal role involves the 24/7 monitoring of security systems, alarm responses, and the efficient dispatch of mobile security units. As a key part of our night shift team, you will be responsible for maintaining constant vigilance, responding to incidents swiftly, and ensuring clear communication between our clients, field officers, and emergency services. This is a licensed role, requiring a current NSW Security Licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and other security feeds diligently throughout your shift.
- Receive, evaluate, and prioritize incoming alarms and security alerts.
- Dispatch mobile response units, law enforcement, or emergency services as required, following strict protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all incidents, actions taken, and communications.
- Provide clear and concise instructions and support to field officers during incidents.
- Handle inbound calls from clients and personnel regarding security matters.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and relevant security legislation.
- Escalate critical incidents to management promptly.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure optimal functionality of monitoring equipment.
Required Skills
- Current and valid NSW Security Licence (Class 1F or 1C preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using security monitoring software and standard office applications.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Central Coast region.
- Ability to interpret and respond to complex alarm signals.
- Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in a security control room, dispatch, or operations centre role.
- Certificate II or III in Security Operations.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with Australian security standards and regulations.
