Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Wildlife Rescue Center Laborer. This vital role focuses primarily on the heavy cleaning and maintenance of our animal enclosures and facilities, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for all animals in our care. This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding position where your hard work directly contributes to the well-being and recovery of wildlife. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and compassion for animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily heavy cleaning and sanitization of animal enclosures, pens, and recovery areas.
- Clean and disinfect food and water dishes, ensuring proper hygiene standards.
- Manage waste disposal, including animal waste and general refuse, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, staff rooms, and storage facilities.
- Assist with laundry duties, cleaning bedding and towels for animals.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs or facility issues.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all animal welfare and hygiene protocols.
- Assist with general groundskeeping and upkeep as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles.

- Valid driver's license (desirable for potential errands).
