Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic animal lover looking to start a rewarding career in pet care? Gulf Coast Pawsitive Groomers is seeking a dedicated and reliable Mobile Dog Groomer’s Bather / Assistant to join our growing team. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals with little to no prior grooming experience to learn the fundamentals of professional dog grooming directly from experienced groomers. You will be an essential part of our mobile grooming unit, assisting with daily operations, ensuring the comfort and safety of our furry clients, and traveling throughout the beautiful Biloxi area.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and gently bathe and dry dogs of various breeds and sizes, following specific instructions from the lead groomer.
- Assist the lead groomer with grooming tasks, including brushing, de-shedding, nail trims, and ear cleaning as directed.
- Prepare grooming tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the mobile grooming unit.
- Assist with client check-ins and check-outs, providing excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's condition and grooming needs.
- Assist with managing appointment schedules and navigating routes as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the grooming van and equipment.
- Observe and learn advanced grooming techniques and practices from experienced professionals.

- Familiarity with the Biloxi and surrounding Gulf Coast areas.
- Basic understanding of dog behavior and safe handling techniques.
