Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to join our growing engineering team. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, front-end developers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Prior experience in the energy or utilities sector.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
