Job Description
Are you a student looking for flexible casual work, or someone seeking a dynamic role that fits your lifestyle? Coles Supermarkets is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Online Order Pickers to join our Footscray team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and packing customer online grocery orders, ensuring the freshest products are selected and prepared for delivery or collection. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided to help you succeed. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable retail experience, work in a supportive team environment, and enjoy flexible hours that can be tailored to suit your studies or other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and scan items for online grocery orders from store shelves
- Ensure product quality and freshness, checking expiry dates and condition
- Pack orders carefully and efficiently into designated bags or crates
- Prepare orders for customer collection or delivery, adhering to strict timelines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including picking aisles and packing stations
- Adhere to all food safety and store operational procedures
- Assist with other general store duties as required
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness, capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderate weights for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of mobile applications or handheld scanning devices (training provided)
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (not essential, but a plus)
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
