Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Logistics Data Entry Clerk to join our team for afternoon shifts at our Irvine warehouse. This vital role involves accurately inputting and managing data related to inventory, shipments, and other logistics operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of critical information. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth operational flow by providing accurate data support to our logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately inputting logistics data, including inventory movements, shipping details, and order information, into our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other databases.
- Verifying data accuracy by comparing it to source documents; identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Generating reports and summaries as needed to support warehouse operations and management.
- Communicating effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to resolve data-related issues.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, especially regarding data security and operational protocols.
- Assisting with other administrative tasks as required to support the logistics team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data entry and strong typing skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work afternoon shifts consistently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a data entry or administrative role, preferably within logistics or a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
