Job Description
Are you a calm, compassionate individual looking for a career where you can make a real difference every single day? We are seeking highly motivated and resilient individuals to join our team as 911 / 999 Emergency Dispatch Trainees in Telford. This is an entry-level position that requires no prior experience in emergency services. You will receive comprehensive, full training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a critical link in our emergency response chain. As an Emergency Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for people facing life-threatening situations, handling calls with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer emergency 999 calls promptly and professionally, gathering crucial information from callers.
- Remain calm and composed under pressure, providing reassurance and instructions to callers in distress.
- Accurately assess situations and determine the appropriate level of response required.
- Dispatch ambulance resources to incidents efficiently, following established protocols.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with field crews, other emergency services, and healthcare providers.
- Record all incident details accurately into computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Adhere to all operational policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Participate actively in all required training and ongoing professional development sessions.

Preferred Qualifications
