Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Aid Program Coordinator to support our Federal Global Outreach initiatives based in Port Lincoln. This role is crucial in facilitating the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of our humanitarian aid programs that involve collaboration with federal government agencies and international partners. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring program objectives are met, resources are managed efficiently, and reporting requirements are fulfilled, contributing directly to our mission of alleviating human suffering.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate various aspects of federal global outreach aid programs, from inception to completion.
- Liaise effectively with federal government departments, international partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of program proposals, budgets, and operational plans.
- Monitor program progress, identify potential challenges, and propose solutions to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on program activities, financial expenditure, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the logistical and administrative requirements for program activities, including travel and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, federal guidelines, and international aid standards.
- Facilitate communication and information flow between all parties involved in global outreach programs.
- Represent the Australian Red Cross at relevant meetings, workshops, and events as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project or program coordination, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding of humanitarian principles and international development issues.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Experience working with or knowledge of Australian federal government funding and reporting mechanisms.
- Familiarity with aid effectiveness principles and practices.
- Experience in cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
