Job Description
Embark on a rewarding journey with Riverland Community Health Service as an Allied Health Intern, specializing in Practical Physiotherapy Experience. This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring physiotherapy professionals to gain hands-on clinical experience within a supportive community health setting. You will work alongside experienced physiotherapists, observe patient assessments, contribute to treatment planning, and assist with therapeutic exercises. Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist qualified physiotherapists in patient assessments and treatment sessions across various conditions.
- Learn to document patient progress and contribute to case notes under supervision.

- Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Assist with clinic administration, equipment maintenance, and hygiene protocols.

Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Physiotherapy or a related Allied Health field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- High level of empathy, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience in a healthcare or community service setting.
