Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Apple Thinning Staff for the upcoming summer season. This is a temporary, immediate hire position perfect for those looking for outdoor work, to gain agricultural experience, or earn income during the warmer months. As part of our orchard team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal growth and quality of our apple crops by carefully thinning fruit to allow remaining apples to grow larger and sweeter. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully thin apple fruitlets from trees to achieve optimal spacing and fruit quality.
- Follow supervisors' instructions regarding thinning techniques and target fruit counts.
- Work efficiently and diligently to meet daily thinning targets.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all company safety protocols.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative team atmosphere.
- Report any tree health issues or concerns to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
