Job Description
Are you passionate about sports and enjoy working with your hands? Sport Chek is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Athletic Equipment Repair Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn a skilled trade, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will work in a workshop environment, learning to repair, maintain, and service a wide variety of athletic equipment, ensuring safety and performance for our customers. No prior experience is necessary – we are looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to master new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various athletic equipment (e.g., skates, bikes, fitness machines, protective gear).
- Learn to identify equipment faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Assist senior technicians with repair tasks, parts replacement, and assembly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during equipment handling and repair.
- Develop proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair status and progress.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere focused on quality service and continuous improvement.
