Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our comprehensive audiology department. This vital role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and contributing to a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, and auditory evoked potentials.
  • Diagnose and differentiate between types and degrees of hearing loss and balance disorders.
  • Provide appropriate recommendations and dispense hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices.
  • Perform fitting, programming, and troubleshooting of amplification devices.
  • Counsel patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and device use and care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Ph.D. in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current or eligible for Washington State Audiology license
  • Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) is preferred, but eligibility for certification is acceptable for international applicants
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a clinical audiology setting
  • Experience with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers and fitting software
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
