Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and looking for a dynamic role where you can be on the move? Miramichi Auto Auction is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as an Auto Auction Lot Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving a diverse range of vehicles across our auction grounds. This is a fast-paced environment perfect for those who enjoy variety and working with different types of cars every day. We value safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Full training on our specific auction procedures will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move vehicles between designated areas on the auction lot.
- Inspect vehicles for any new damage prior to and after movement, reporting findings promptly.
- Position vehicles correctly for auction viewing and sale events.
- Maintain an organized and clean auction lot, ensuring clear pathways and proper vehicle placement.
- Assist with basic vehicle preparation tasks as needed, such as starting vehicles or checking fuel levels.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and traffic rules on company property.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth auction operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and move vehicles throughout a large lot for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience driving a wide variety of vehicle types (e.g., trucks, SUVs, luxury cars).
- Familiarity with auction lot operations or similar automotive environments.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle components.
