Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Aviation Parts Courier to join our logistics team in Palmdale. This fast-paced role is critical to our operations, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of essential aircraft components and materials between our facilities and to various suppliers and customers. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable driving record, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport aviation parts, components, and documents to various locations within a defined geographic area.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of sensitive materials to prevent damage.
- Verify accuracy of shipments against manifests and delivery orders, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues to supervision.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and recipients regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally during all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Valid California Class C Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 5 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of geographic areas and navigation (GPS proficiency).
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in courier, delivery, or logistics roles, especially in an industrial or aerospace setting.
- Familiarity with Palmdale and surrounding areas.
- Experience with inventory tracking systems.
- Forklift certification (though not required for this specific role, it is a plus for general warehouse support).
