Job Description
Join HM Border Force as a Baggage Inspector, a critical role in safeguarding national security at our airport operations. This entry-level position requires vigilant attention to detail and a commitment to protecting the public. You will be responsible for inspecting baggage for prohibited items, undeclared goods, and potential threats, utilizing advanced screening technology and keen observation skills. Full training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and expertise required to excel in this essential federal agency role. Key Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and screening equipment to inspect passenger baggage and cargo for prohibited items.
- Conduct physical searches of baggage and packages when suspicious items are detected.
- Identify and escalate potential threats or anomalies to senior officers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and incidents.
- Provide clear and concise information to passengers regarding inspection procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with security threats and technologies.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced airport environment.
