Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Battery Technology & Energy Storage Intern to join our dynamic team in Val-d’Or. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving field of advanced battery technologies and energy storage solutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers and researchers, contributing to real-world projects that drive sustainable energy innovation. This role is perfect for students looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, industry setting and develop a foundational understanding of battery research, development, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and characterization of battery materials and components.
- Conduct experiments related to battery cell assembly, testing, and data analysis.
- Support the development and optimization of energy storage systems.
- Perform literature reviews and research on emerging battery technologies.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on project findings.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers on various projects.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electrochemistry or materials science principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with laboratory work or research projects (academic or extracurricular).
- Familiarity with battery testing equipment or data analysis software.
- Knowledge of battery chemistries (e.g., Li-ion, solid-state) or energy storage applications.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
