Job Description
We are seeking a charismatic and attentive Boutique Cigar Lounge Host / Retailer to join our team for evening shifts. In this role, you will be the face of Emerald Leaf Lounge, responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting guests with their selections, and ensuring a seamless and memorable experience. You will manage retail sales of cigars and accessories, provide product recommendations, and maintain the lounge’s impeccable standards of presentation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon their arrival at the lounge.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on our selection of premium cigars and accessories.
- Conduct retail sales, handle transactions accurately, and manage point-of-sale systems.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting lounge and retail display area.
- Monitor and manage cigar humidor conditions to ensure optimal product quality.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and receiving deliveries.
- Educate guests on cigar etiquette, pairings, and brands.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with local regulations (if applicable and trained).
- Resolve guest inquiries and issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and lounge policies.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in customer service or retail, preferably in a luxury or hospitality setting (1+ year).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales acumen and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS systems.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to learn about cigars, spirits, and lounge operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of premium cigars and spirits.
- Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese) is an asset.
