Job Description

Are you a highly motivated individual passionate about the fast-paced world of hospitality and gaming? GrandVista Hospitality & Gaming is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Casino Operations & Gaming Intern to join our corporate team in San Antonio. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the operational facets that drive a successful hospitality and gaming enterprise. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to projects that impact guest services, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, preparing you for a thrilling career in the industry. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operational tasks across various departments, including front-of-house, F&B, and security logistics.
  • Support the analysis of operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement in guest experience and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members on specific projects related to gaming promotions, events, or service enhancements.
  • Learn and apply fundamental principles of hospitality management, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new initiatives.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and competitive analysis.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on assigned projects and findings.
  • Observe and document standard operating procedures for various casino and resort functions.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • A genuine interest in the hospitality and gaming industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role (e.g., retail, food service).
