Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized City Hall Receptionist / Greeter to be the welcoming face of the City of Reno. This public-facing role is critical as you will be the first point of contact for citizens, visitors, and vendors. You will provide essential administrative support, direct inquiries, and ensure a positive and efficient experience for everyone who interacts with our municipal government. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all visitors to City Hall with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Provide accurate information and direct visitors to the appropriate departments, offices, or personnel.
- Answer multi-line phone systems, screen calls, forward messages, and provide general information about city services and events.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and professional reception area.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for city officials and departmental staff as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Respond to basic inquiries regarding city operations, permits, licenses, and other public services.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers.
- Maintain a log of visitor traffic and inquiries for record-keeping purposes.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion with all sensitive information.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a helpful and patient attitude.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous under pressure.
- Proficiency in using basic office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
