Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineering Tech to join our dynamic team in Victor Harbor, South Australia. This role involves supporting civil engineering projects from conception through to completion, primarily focusing on local infrastructure development and maintenance. The successful candidate will assist engineers with design, project documentation, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Civil Engineers with project design, drafting, and calculations using relevant software.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and material testing to ensure quality and compliance.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and assist in problem-solving.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and local authorities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on all project sites.
- Maintain accurate project records and databases.
- Support the preparation of tenders and proposals.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction Design, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar civil design software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, particularly in roadworks, stormwater, or land development.
- Experience with GIS software.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and local government regulations.
- Experience in surveying techniques and equipment operation.
