Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Morning Maintenance assistant. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring our property remains in excellent condition, providing a comfortable and safe environment for our guests and staff. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general upkeep primarily during morning hours, following a set roster. This position is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Full training will be provided for specific hotel systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily routine checks of all common areas and guest facilities.
- Conduct minor repairs to plumbing, electrical fixtures, and general fittings (e.g., changing lightbulbs, fixing leaky taps, repairing door handles).
- Undertake preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Assist with basic painting and patching as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
- Report any major maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager promptly.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests from guests or staff during shift.
- Maintain inventory of essential maintenance supplies.

- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, climbing short ladders).

- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
