Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as a Burger Prep Hand for casual night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, friendly environment with the added benefit of attractive penalty rates. You’ll play a crucial role in preparing high-quality ingredients, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly during busy evening hours, and maintaining our high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for entry-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients according to Grill'd recipes and standards, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and patty preparation.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate needs to senior kitchen staff.
- Support the cooking team during peak service hours.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for night shifts.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles (or willingness to learn rapidly).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment (even minimal).
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon employment).
- Flexibility to work various casual night shifts, including weekends.
