Job Description

Big Rock Climbing Gym is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Climbing Gym Belay Instructor (Trainee). This is a fantastic chance to start a career in the climbing industry, even without prior experience. We provide comprehensive, paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and certifications to safely belay climbers, teach fundamental techniques, and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Complete Big Rock Climbing Gym's comprehensive belay instructor training program.
- Safely and effectively belay climbers of all ages and skill levels.
- Teach foundational climbing techniques, gym rules, and safety protocols to new climbers and guests.
- Conduct thorough safety checks on climbing equipment and participant harnesses.
- Monitor climbing areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and provide assistance as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with facility upkeep and equipment organization.
- Handle basic administrative tasks such as waiver processing and check-ins.
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Big Rock Climbing Gym.

- Current CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained post-hire).
