Job Description
Golden Gate Greenworks Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Landscaping Crew Leader to join our dedicated team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in an outdoor work environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional landscaping services. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in all aspects of commercial landscape maintenance and installation projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small team of landscaping technicians on various commercial properties.
- Perform and oversee landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, and blowing.
- Operate a variety of landscaping equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, small tractors).
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards.
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project status and any issues.
- Maintain equipment and tools, reporting any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
- Manage project timelines and ensure completion within designated schedules.
- Assist with irrigation system checks and basic repairs as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial landscaping.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practices.
- Ability to read and understand project specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Horticultural knowledge or related certifications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience with irrigation system troubleshooting and repair.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
