Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious engineer to play a crucial role in the successful implementation and handover of complex automation and control systems across various industrial and commercial projects. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and performing according to design specifications and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, control, and automation systems.
- Conduct functional testing of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
- Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in collaboration with clients.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, site diaries, and test documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and installation teams.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commissioning industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs).
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, and field instrumentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues systematically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel for project assignments.
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship provided for eligible candidates).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Schneider Electric products (e.g., EcoStruxure, Modicon, Vijeo Citect).
- Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompEx, IOSH).
- Previous experience working with diverse project teams.
