Job Description
Join Encore Global as a Corporate Event AV Setup Crew member and become an essential part of bringing high-profile corporate events and conferences to life. This role involves travel to various hotel ballrooms, conference centers, and other event venues primarily within the St. Louis metropolitan area and occasionally beyond. You will be responsible for the physical setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment, ensuring seamless execution for our clients. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, are eager to learn, and are comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment that often includes travel and irregular hours. Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport, set up, and dismantle audio, video, lighting, and computer equipment for corporate events and conferences.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment at company warehouse and event sites.
- Perform basic operation and troubleshooting of AV equipment during events.
- Collaborate with event managers, technical directors, and venue staff to meet client needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Encore Global.
- Conduct inventory checks and report any missing or damaged equipment.
- Travel to various event locations as required, often involving early mornings, late nights, and weekend work.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel frequently to event sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of electronics or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a live event, production, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with basic AV terminology and equipment.
- Customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
