Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised Council Property Admin – Facility Management Support professional to join our team in Port Macquarie. This role provides essential administrative support to the Property and Facilities Management unit, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of council properties. You will be instrumental in coordinating tasks, managing documentation, and assisting with various property-related projects to uphold our high standards of facility management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Property and Facilities Management team.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, inspections, and contractor visits.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation related to council properties.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and financial requisitions for property-related expenses.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding council properties and facility services.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Support the implementation of property management policies and procedures.
- Facilitate communication between various departments, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a safe and compliant work environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience, preferably in property or facilities management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience with property management software or local government systems.
- Familiarity with council operations and property portfolio.
