Job Description
Are you passionate about community safety, animal welfare, and protecting our local environment? Wyndham City Council is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Council Rangers. Key Responsibilities
- Receive comprehensive training in local law enforcement and community engagement.
- Learn to investigate and respond to reports of illegal parking, littering, and other infringements.
- Assist with animal management duties, including impoundment, microchipping, and promoting responsible pet ownership.
- Conduct patrols of public areas, parks, and reserves to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Engage with the community, providing information and educating residents on local laws and safety.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of incidents and activities.
- Collaborate with emergency services and other council departments as required.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
Required Skills
- Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
