Job Description
Are you passionate about craft beer and love sharing your knowledge with others? Hazel’s Beverage World is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Craft Beer / Bottle Shop Advisor to join our team for evening shifts. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for our beer aisle, guiding customers through our diverse selection, recommending new favorites, and ensuring a friendly, welcoming experience. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for outstanding service and a vibrant atmosphere, especially during our busiest hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patrons with beer selections and recommendations.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of our extensive craft beer inventory, including styles, breweries, and new arrivals.
- Assist with stocking, merchandising, and ensuring the beer aisle is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently for customer transactions.
- Participate in beer tastings and educational sessions to continuously expand product knowledge.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and state liquor laws regarding sales and service.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift and move cases of product (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS operations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
- Prior knowledge of beer styles, brewing processes, or specific breweries.
- Experience with inventory management or merchandising.
